r l h b w Inappropriate sensing of atrial and ventricular electrical ctivity is a common cause of pacemaker malfunction and is outinely screened for during pacemaker clinic visits. Unersensing is typically resolved by programming the voltage evel required for sensing to lower, ie, more sensitive, levls. This report discusses a situation in which, paradoxially, undersensing was resolved by programming the voltge level required for sensing to higher, ie, less sensitive, evels.
